Add a Facebook Link on Your Business Website to Get Likes
You can add a Facebook link on your business website to get Likes for your page. And you can create links to it from other social media presences and profiles. Use HTML code and widgets like social plugins or badges. Also add your Facebook page link to directory listings.
Simple Links
The screenshot above is an example of a simple Facebook link on your business website or blog, in this case How To Start a Social network. It was created with a snippet of HTML code. If you have access to the code on your site, you can do it, or if not, your developer can create such a link. (See code itself below in the discussion of the Watch Maven.)
In the graphic above, images and code were integrated to create the Facebook link on a business website.
Also set up Facebook links on your blog or Twitter profile, like Larry Brauner has done for The Watch Maven in his Twitter bio, above. In the case of Twitter, you just use the hyperlink format as you type your bio: <a href=”http://www.facebook.com/pages/the-watch-maven/161652737203411″>Watch Maven on Facebook</a>. Substitute your Facebook page link for Larry’s. And if you have a personal or business profile on LinkedIn, add a Facebook business page link in addition to your main site.
Social Plugins
Facebook provides the code for social plugins, which are images and text that create a Facebook link on your business website. You just customize it by choosing size and features, and paste it into your site, or have your developer do it for you.
To give the link more visibility, more fun, you might integrate it into other site graphics, like Zanda Panda has on its website, shown at top. Encourage people to visit your Facebook business page, and to Like it. Zanda Panda’s link says “Become a Zanda Panda Fan!”
Badges
Facebook also has badges you can use to create a Facebook link on your business website, like that for Sweaty Feet above.
Business Directories
Finally, our FB Business Pages Directory is another great place to get a link back to your Facebook page, and all your other social media presences. It’s free, so do add your page!
In sum, get more Likes by adding these: simple links; widgets like social plugins and badges; and a listing in our FB Business Pages Directory. They are all ways to get traffic to your Facebook business page from your website and other social media profiles.
