What do those with arts and entertainment pages put on their Facebook welcome tabs? How do they use their custom landing page on Facebook?
To answer this question, I went to the Arts and Entertainment category of our own Facebook Business Pages Directory, to see which pages used these tabs, and how.
Facebook Welcome Tabs of Arts and Entertainment Pages
This artist’s welcome tab has beautiful rotating images and background on her. I might suggest larger, more readable typeface.
The TV show COPS uses a number of custom tabs. Its welcome tab is an event promotion for a Fans-only premiere party on Facebook, and indicates clear benefit to Liking.
Extravaganza Craft Productions
The arts and craft hub Extravaganza provides site and social media links on its welcome tab. They host this image on Photobucket. They describe benefits of a Like as notifications of blog posts, art festival and craft show listings, and “other information to make your booth more profitable.”
Using SocialApps HQ, the magazine Hopelights encourage you to Like their page and then provides a list of FB friends and a box to invite friends to Like the page too. Benefits to a Like are “minutes of inspiration daily.”
My Danish isn’t too good, but I’m guessing this is a page to help you find art. Their welcome page encourages Likes and suggests that the artist also does custom work?
This Long Beach Reggae Group has created a welcome tab with their description, photos, and link back to their website. App used is xtremelysocial.
This Tshirt artist’s welcome tab incorporates your name into Welcome (not a photo of me, just my name.)
Museo Delle Maiolinche Medievali
This medieval museum’s welcome tab has image of museum, link to its site, and Twitter link.
The entertainment site Nerd Wiki uses a welcome tab that encourages Likes with large graphic. Each image in the graphic is a link to another part of their site, i.e. Superman to that section.
This professional portrait artist has 3 Like and 1 Share button on his Facebook welcome tab.
When I clicked the Join Our Mailing List option, I saw the following, but I’m passing on giving access.
The band SPKilla promotes access to a song competition in return for a Like. “Download any of the 3 beats provided for the competition. The winner will win exclusive rights to the beat that was used to win. Good Luck!”
The TV listing site Spreety has a tab that encourages, likes, shares, and use of their discussions tab to talk about shows.
The TV show Triple Rush promotes Likes on its welcome page and promises inside info in return. “Liking this page gives you access to behind-the-scenes action and information.”
This blogger has a sophisticated Facebook welcome tab, showcasing her featured post of the minute. She has incorporated her main website links as tabs on the welcome tab: Success Profiles, Inspiring Quotes, About, Press, etc.
Facebook Welcome Tab Observations
- Over half the pages listed in the Arts and Entertainment category of our Facebook Business Pages Directory don’t use a welcome tab.
- Enticements for visitors to Like on these welcome pages include the promise of inside info and access to a contest.
