What do with beauty and spa pages put on their Facebook welcome tabs? How do they use their custom landing page on Facebook?
To answer this question, I went to the Beauty and Spa category of our own Facebook Business Pages Directory, to see which pages used these tabs, and how.
Facebook Welcome Tabs of Beauty and Spa Pages
IdealLaser puts a coupon on its Facebook welcome tab to encourage Likes.
On its welcome tab, the body and bath products manufacturer Light of the Moon encourage Likes by showing only a suggestive shadow of what is underneath. After I clicked, I could see what appears to be the main navigation links on its website, including specials ( second screenshot.)
Michelle Welch for Beautiful Skin
Michelle’s uses an artsy graphic in its Facebook welcome tab. The business promises skin tips in return for a Like. I applaud the enthusiasm in her copy.
I like Inspire’s splashy graphic, but this salon uses typeface that I find hard to read (is it my eyes?). After I click, they say Hello. Also note what appears to be a QR code. They create this page with the app World of Social.
The weight loss supplement page of UnWrap has a graphic of a slim woman on Hollywood’s red carpet, encouraging you to Like in return for discounts and details.
Observations on Facebook Welcome Tabs
- Out of 21 listings, only 5 in the Beauty and Spas category of our Facebook Business Pages Directory have custom welcome tabs. Most landed visitors on their walls.
- Enticements for visitors to Like these welcome pages included the promise of skin tips, special offers on Facebook, QR codes, and discounts.
