Postplanner, the software I use to schedule Facebook updates, emailed me this week stating that Facebook will no longer aggregate status updates sent using third party scheduling software.
PostPlanner on Consolidation of Status Updates from Third Parties
In part, their email reports:
“BIG NEWS! AllFacebook.com reported yesterday that:
”Facebook has fixed its news feed algorithm to stop aggregating posts from all third-party publishing tools, giving them equal treatment.
”That means your posts from Post Planner will NOT be hidden, aggregated or consolidated together anymore!
”You will never see “See 12 more posts from Post Planner” again.”
I post live, but I also schedule Facebook updates, so I’m thrilled with this news. Of course, this change does not guarantee that updates will reach the news feed of most Fans. We page admins still need our updates to have EdgeRank.
